Senator Wiggins Attends Gallery Opening

(Carol Kozal, Gallery Director, Center: Senator Pat Wiggins, Paul Kozal, Artist)

Studio 391 was honored to have Senator Pat Wiggins attend the exhibition opening/artist reception for Paul Kozal's new show, Winter.

Senator Wiggins represents California's large 2nd Senate District which includes portions or all of six North Coast Counties: Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Solano and Sonoma. As a first-term Senator, Pat introduced 35 pieces of legislation in 2007 on topics ranging from agriculture, youth employment and land use to political reform, health care and veterans' affairs.

Pat, at one time, was an accomplished parachutist, having been raised in a family of daredevils. Her father, Ralph Wiggins, was the stuntman responsible for the wing-walking maneuvers in Robert Redford’s classic movie, The Great Waldo Pepper, and her mother Grace was one of the first women ever to parachute.

They're Back

Rolfe Horn and Roman Loranc have both returned from recent photography trips.

Rolfe Horn was recently photographing in Japan for almost a month. He’s returned with over 100 rolls of film and is already in the darkroom developing his film.  Rolfe also enjoyed the natural hot spring baths, fresh caught sashimi, local vegetables and even ate chrysanthemum flower petals which he says are delicious.

Roman Loranc was in Poland for three months and explored the neighboring countries of Lithuania, Ukraine, and even made a side trip to Paris on this latest trip. And, like Rolfe, he’s not wasting any time getting into the darkroom to develop the film he’s returned home with.

We look forward to seeing what develops. New images will be posted on our web site at www.studio391.net as they are released.
