Studio 391 now has its own QR (Quick Response) bar code. A QR code is a mobile phone readable bar code. Just point an iPhone or other camera-enabled mobile at it. If the device has QR code-decoding software installed on it, it will fire up its browser and go straight to that URL. (iTunes has a free app called QR Reader that works well if you need to download one.)

New Rolfe Horn Book

Shin Jo Sui: Landscapes of Japan is a new 80 page book containing 73 photographs from Rolfe Horn’s travels throughout Japan from 2001 through 2008. Christopher Burkett Celebrates 30 Years

Christopher Burkett is celebrating 30 years as a Cibachrome (Ilfochrome) printer. Burkett is a recognized national expert in the process by virtue of his use of sophisticated and unique masking techniques. Each of his prints is meticulously printed with impressive sharpness and rich tonality. His masterful printing and numerous exhibitions have brought him international acclaim.

Kim Kauffman Workshop

Studio 391 artist Kim Kauffman will present a weekend workshop at Kalamazoo Institute of Arts June 26 and 27. In this hands on workshop Kim will demonstrate the scanning and photo-collage techniques she uses to create her Florilegium and Illumitones images.There are a few spots left for the workshop.
