Un-Edibles: The Making of Bronze Produce

Two of the artists represented at Studio 391, Valerie Brunmeier and Matt Hart, of Bronze Plus, were recently featured in an episode of Celebrate Sonoma, a series that explores the culture of Sonoma County, California. This episode shows the step-by-step process of how they make their un-edible bronze sculptures of California produce using the lost wax process. You can watch an 8-minute clip of them making 'asparagus' at: http://vimeo.com/25567743. A big thank you to Petaluma filmaker James Parker for filming this segment about the making of a bronze sculpture for all to enjoy.

A Pawsitive Review

Hairy Putter, Mendocino County's canine reviewer extraordinaire, visited Studio 391 in Gualala's Cypress Village Gallery District recently. Hairy, (right) and companion Jai Ram, (left) toured the gallery and gave it a "pawsitive" review. Before heading off to their next destination, the two dogs posed for a photograph in the gallery. Hairy chronicles his visits to various pet-friendly destinations in Mendocino County on his own blog at www.HairysBlog.com.
